PREPARING FOR YOUR REMOVAL
To help prepare for your move here are a few things to consider:
Packing and unpacking
If you decide to do your own packing be sure to use strong enough cartons and ensure they are not overfilled. All your packing and wrapping materials can be bought direct from Page The Packers.
Self-assembly furniture may need to be dismantled prior to your removal please discuss with our estimator.
Attics and lofts
These need to be emptied prior to the move day.
Important documents/keys etc
Place all important documents & keys etc in a folder and keep separate from your household goods. Carry them with you when you travel.
Fridgefreezers,Cookers & Washing Machines etc, need to be disconnected and cleaned prior to your removal.
All clothing on hangers in wardrobes can be transferred directly into special hanging robe cartons provided by ourselves. Generally chests of drawers containing clothes etc can be left full.
Contents of garages & garden sheds
These should be organized well in advance, tools should be cleaned and tied together.
N.B. Flammable products cannot be transported.
Before packing, tighten all lids of jars and bottles etc .Please note food items can not be put into storage.
Pack a box with essential items which you will need immediately on arrival i.e kettle, tea, coffee etc and mark “do not remove” leave it as one of the last items you put in your car.
Prior to your move day explain to neighbours that a removal vehicle will be parked outside your home and prepare them for any inconvenience. Similarly you need to inform your mover of any potential access problems at the new address
